Watch Jack’s Story
In this video, Jack Blair shares how serving on a six-week mission trip to South Africa through PBA deepened his faith, broadened his perspective, and strengthened his calling to disciple others both globally and locally.
Highlights of Jack’s Story
Over the summer, Jack Blair spent six weeks serving in South Africa through a PBA student mission opportunity. Traveling across the Eastern, Western, and Northern Cape regions, he engaged with diverse communities and participated in a variety of ministries.
Throughout the trip, Jack served in children’s ministry, worked with elderly populations, led Vacation Bible School activities, and visited orphanages. In Ceres, South Africa, he and his team shared daily messages about Jesus while building relationships through games, activities, and encouragement.
Witnessing Christian organizations pour into the lives of children from difficult backgrounds deeply impacted him. Jack saw firsthand how faith, compassion, and consistency can transform communities.
The experience also challenged him personally. He realized that mission work isn’t limited to international travel. After returning home, he saw the same need for discipleship and compassion within his own community. Whether through teaching, mentoring, or simply being a friend, he believes every believer is called to live missionally.
Jack encourages others to step out in faith and participate in missions, trusting that God will use them and grow their relationship with Christ through the experience.
